You'll be heading for the outrageously romantic and private Mnemba Island Lodge where you'll experience a true 'desert island' paradise.
There's plenty of time to lounge on the beach but you can also enjoy activities such as fishing, wind surfing, scuba diving and snorkeling. Wind down after a day on or in the ocean with a book from the library or rejuvenate the mind and body with a massage or therapeutic treatment.
On arrival in Zanzibar you'll be transferred to Mnemba Island Lodge, a collection of secluded beachside cottages situated within a Marine Reserve. After settling in, order a drink from the bar, take in the beautiful sea views and start planning the coming days.
Day 1 to 4: Enjoy the sun, sand and the sea
The next four days are yours to do as much or as little as you want. Soak up the sun on gorgeous, secluded beaches, take to the translucent waters on a sea kayak, indulge yourself with a range of therapeutic massages and treatments - the choice is yours.
The lodge is situated within a marine reserve comprising distinct habitats which are home to a diverse array of Indian Ocean marine life. Mnemba offers spectacular diving and snorkeling opportunities, as well as fly fishing, and you can swim directly from the beach.
Lunch is selected by you, and a menu is drawn up everyday which you can discuss with your butler. Baskets of fresh fruit, fish, lobster, crab and prawns are sailed into Mnemba daily on traditional Ngalawa outriggers, and served on the beach or in the outside Banda each night.
Beach barbeques are often organized, and for romantics, Mnemba Island Lodge can arrange a private beach dinner where you and your partner will feel the waves gently lapping at your feet as you dine.
Enjoy leisure walks around the island, exploring the craft shops, or take a tour of the 'Spice Island', Zanzibar.
Day 5: Kwaheri Mnemba
